Minutes of the Community Council Meeting held on 08th July 2019 at the Community Centre

Present:-
Councillors John Ll Griffiths(Chairman), Rhodri Evans, Eirwen James, Emmanuel Kincaid, Dafydd Lloyd-Jones, Enfys H Davies, Lynet Pugh.
Also present was PCSO John Evans.

1. Apologies:- 
Councillors Caryl Jones and Cllr Beth Anthony apologised for their inability to attend.

3. Declaration of Interest
None.

4. Minutes
On the proposition of Councillor Dafydd Lloyd Jones and seconded by Cllr Rhodri Evans the Council authorised the Chairman to sign the minutes of Community Council meeting held on 10th June 2019.
5. Matters arising from the minutes

  1. The Council informed Ceredigion County Council regarding the Vacant Seat on Llanddewi Brefi Community Council . Public Notices are on display in the Village.

6.1.1 Roads
a. Road widening Pant and Nantdderwen.
b. Work to be done on Quar Road. Divert surface water towards stream.
c. White lines on junction by Ardwyn and Pont Llanio Hill

6.2 Tree and Boundary Maintenance.
a. Fencing right hand side of Pont Llanio Hill.
b. Tree on Pont Llanio Hill.
c. Triangular Sign showing junction by Tymawr entrance.

6.3 Website
a. Nothing new.

7. Financial Report
The Council authorised the Chairman to sign the Audit papers for 2018/19 after making sure they were correct.

8. Correspondence.

  1. An Invitation to Councillors to attend the Official opening of Henry Richard School
  2. A request for a donation from the Hall Committee towards the Carnival. The Council donated £300.00

9. Reports
Councillors attended the Proclamation Ceremony for the Eisteddfod 2020 at Cardigan.

10. Matters arising from Ceredigion
The Council were informed that the Toilet strategy would be going through at the end of the month.

b. Planning
Planning application for Llety Poeth has gone through.

11. Village Hall and Community Centre Trustees Committee

The Council have been in discussion with B.T. for the Hall Phone and Broadband.
In regarding taking over the line. This will be reviewed in February.
The Council have signed the Felling Licence application on behalf of the Hall Committee for cutting the trees down behind the hall.

12. Ysgol Henry Richard 3-16

Official opening on by First Minister Mr. Mark Drakeford on the 11th July.

13. Cemetery

Nothing to report.

14 Eisteddfod 2020

Councillors attended the Proclamation Ceremony held in Cardigan.
Mr and Mrs Yeomans of Efail LLanio opened up their Gardens for the public on July 28th and some of the money will go towards the Eisteddfod Fund.

15. New Policy
Will be sorted in the future.

16. Any other matter

  1. The Council were informed that there is great concern regarding the Logging lorries coming through the village and damaging properties.
  2. A request has been made to clear the yard at the Village School.

17. Flood resilience Group
Nothing new.

18. Date of next meeting   9th September 2019

A special meeting regarding the Grant for Ser Dewi was held at the Community Centre on Monday 12th August 2019

Present: Councillor John Ll Griffiths,(Chair), Caryl H Jones(Vice-chair), Rhodri Evans, Emmanuel Kincaid, Lynet Pugh, Enfys H Davies, Beth Anthony.

1. Apologies
Councillor Dafydd Lloyd Jones apologised for his inability to attend.

2. Declaration of Interest
Councillor John Ll Griffiths and Cllr Emmanuel Kincaid declared their interest and left the room regarding the planning application No A190449 to extend Gogoyan Caravan Park.
The Council had no objection.

3. To apply for Grant for Ser Dewi
The Council agreed to apply for a 100% Grant Funding for Ser Dewi through Sport Wales Place for Sport Fund.
The application with 3 tenders for the work.
The Grant is needed for improvement to the changing facilities and referee room.
It was proposed as a motion and all Councillors were unanimous .
