Minutes of the Community Council Meeting held on 8th June 2015 at the Community Centre
Present:-
Councillors Maria Tofani (Chairman), Dafydd Lloyd-Jones (Vice Chairman) Emanuel Kincaid, Eirwen James, Rhodri Evans, Mary Pearce, Ann Jones, John Ll Griffiths, Gwynne Davies.
Apologies:-
1. Councillor Wynne Davies apologised for his inability to attend.
2. Personal
The Councillors congratulated Llanddewi Brefi Y.F.C on a very successful Rally and ‘Gymanfa Ganu’. Also congratulations was given to Cllr and Mrs Dafydd Lloyd – Jones on the birth of their granddaughter. Cllr Ann Jones was congratulated on being appointed on the W.I. Enterprise board as Vice Chairman.

4. Minutes
On the proposition of Councillor Ann Jones and seconded by Cllr Mary Pearce the Council authorised the Chairman to sign the minutes of Community Council meeting held on 11th May 2015.
5. Matters arising from the minutes
1. The Council are not placing a sign at Pont Llanio due to insufficient funds this year.
2. Llais Brefi have decided to close the account transferring the money that they had to the Council if a Newspaper or electronic form of communication is set up in the village the Council will give a donation of £100 00.
6.1 Highways
6.1.1 Roads.
a. Road giving way at Ysgoldy Gogoyan.
b. Road widening Pant and Nantdderwen.

c. Pothole by Nantdderwen
d. 30m.p.h sign missing by Pantvilla.
6.1.2 Tree and Boundary Maintenance.
a. Fencing right hand side of Pont Llanio Hill.
b. Tree on Pont Llanio Hill.
6.2 Cemetery
a. It was suggested that the spoil heap be taken away.
6.4 Website
The Website is now running.
6.5 Car Park By-laws.
a. It was decided that nothing be done at present.
6.6 The Pound Garden
Will place a seat there once it has been cleared

Chair will look through the standing orders and decide what is

6.8 Financial Regulations.
A new budget has been drawn up by Chair and Clerk.

8. Correspondence.
1. A copy of planning permission for an erection of a Agricultural/Horticultural shed at Pant y Garth Llanddewi Bref. The Council objected ‘ insufficient Business case.’

9. Reports
1. Cllr Mary Pearce attended a meeting in Aberystwyth ‘Talking Health’ by the Health Board.
2. Cylch Caron stake holders meeting.
10. Matters arising from Cerdigion
The Council were informed that Cllr Gill Hopley was appointed Chair and Vice- chair was given to Dai Mason. There will also be some Budget cuts in the future.
a. Planning
Nothing at present.
11. Village Hall and Community Centre Trustees Committee.
The Hall will be painted inside and out soon.

13. Any other matter
13.1 It was decided to report that the B.T. cables are hanging on Pont Llanio hill.
13.2 The Council have been informed that the Asda delivery van is speeding around the village.
13.3 The Council have been informed that the caps need replacing on posts by Shop Brefi.
13.4 The footpath by Cysgod Y Llan needs clearing.
