Minutes of the Community Council Meeting held on 11th May 2015 at the Community Centre
Present:-
Councillors Maria Tofani (Chairman), Dafydd Lloyd-Jones (Vice Chairman) Emmanuel Kincaid, Eirwen James, Rhodri Evans, Mary Pearce, Ann Jones, John Ll Griffiths.
1. Apologies:-
Councillor Gwynne Davies apologised for his inability to attend.
2.Personal
The Councillors wished Cllr Wynne Davies a speedy recovery.
3. Declaration of Interest
Cllr Rhodri Evans and Cllr Ann Jones declared interest regarding the application for building a Agricultural/Horticultural shed at Pant y Garth Llanddewi Brefi.
4. Minutes
On the proposition of Councillor Dafydd Lloyd-Jones and seconded by Cllr Rhodri Evans the Council authorised the Chairman to sign the minutes of Community Council meeting held on 13th April 2015.
4.(a) Matters arising from the minutes
1. The defibrillator is still in progress Cllr Mary Pearce will get in touch with the Practice Manager.

6. Reports
The Cylch Caron project has had £5.8 million for Social Housing construction and the project should be finished by 2018.
7.1 Highways
7.1 1 Roads.
a. Road giving way at Ysgoldy Gogoyan.
b. Road widening Pant and Nantdderwen.
7.1 2 Tree and Boundary Maintenance.
a. Fencing right hand side of Pont Llanio Hill.
b. Tree on Pont Llanio Hill.
7.2 Cemetery
a. It was suggested that the spoil heap be taken away.
7.4 Website
The Website is now running.
7.5 Car Park By-laws.
a. It was decided that nothing be done at present.
7.6 The Pound Garden
Will place a seat there once it has been cleared
7.7 Standing Orders.
Chair will look through the standing orders and decide what is Appropriate for the Council.
7.8 Financial Regulations..
A new budget has been drawn up by Chair and Clerk.

8. Matters from Ceredigion
1. The Council were informed that the road from Soar y Mynydd to Tyncornel is still under discussion.
9. Correspondence.
1. The Council received a copy of the description road used as a Public path 48/7 Plas Newydd to NE Pistyll Gwyn as bridleway. The Council wanted confirmation whether it was Plas Newydd or Felin Bridge as there is a sign Not suitable for Horses there.
2. A letter requesting a donation from Y Barcud the Council will discuss later on in the year.
3. A letter of request for a financial donation from Tregaron Carnival Committee. It will be discussed at a later date.
4. A copy of planning permission for an erection of a Agricultural/Horticultural shed at Pant y Garth Llanddewi Bref. The Council objected ‘ insufficient Business case.’

11 Any other matter
11.1 It was decided to respond by letter to Miss Yvonne Edwards regarding the Street lighting being switched off at midnight.
11.2 The Council looked into the possibility of getting a sign for Pont Llanio but the Community Council would have to pay.
11.3 The Council received 2 Tenders for the Grass Cuttings . Mr D Benjamin was successful.
11.4 There is a Grant available of 70% for doing up War Memorials.
11.5 The Council would like to wish the Llanddewi Brefi Y.F.C Good Luck with the Rally.
11.6 It was asked if the Council would consider what to do about Llais Brefi Magazine.
12 Village Hall & Community Centre trustees Management Committee.
